Shenzhen – Guilin – Yangshuo 18 – 22 June 2009

18 June: Visited shopping mall and Phoenix Mountain in Shenzhen. At nite, took an hour flight to Guilin. Stayed at Yangshuo Mountain Retreat about 10 mins away from Yangshuo town. Reached Guilin midnite then picked up by someone arranged by the hotel. It took abt 1 hr to reach the hotel from Guilin airport by highway.

19 June: Rafting for 2 hours along Yulong river then visited Real River Cave. In this cave, there is a hotspring and a mud bath. From here, we stopped at Moon Hill village to have dinner. At nite, we went back to hotel by motorbike.

20 June: Checked out from Yangshuo Mountain Retreat then moved to Yangshuo town Paradesa Hotel very near to West Street. Hotel is good, but service is not so good. In the afternoon, visited Silver cave. This cave simply amazing and very colorful. Must see! At nite, watched Impressions Light Show directed by Zhang Yimou. After the show, walked around West Street and stopped at a bar for a drink. What a lucky nite, there was no electricity for some bars in West Street and I was at one of them. Not too bad, managed to relax in the bar for a while thought before the lights went off.

21 June: Hired a taxi to bring us to Yangti village located between Guilin and Yangshuo.We took some kind of boat ride to enjoy elegant mountains along Li River from Yangti village to Xingping village for 3 hours. Again, visited West Street to buy some souvenirs.

22 June: Flew to Shenzhen, relax relax, then flew back to Singapore at nite.

Bangkok > Pattaya 8 – 12 May 2009

Flew to Bangkok by AirAsia on 8 May 09 at 22:00 and reached Bangkok at 23:30.

9 May:

Took bus to southern bus terminal at 7:20 and reached Damnoen Saduak Floating Market at 10:00. Took a boat for 800 Baht for an hour. Shopped and ate in the boat then back to Bangkok. Back to hotel to rest and went out again at night to watch Calypso Ladyboy Show at Asia Hotel paying 1000 Baht. After the ladyboy show, went to see ’Tiger Show’. Sat and drank for 30 mins then took a cab for supper.

10 May:

Took a cab to Pattaya. The driver drove at 150km/hr and reached Pattaya within 90 mins. Reached Pattaya, checked in, then walked around the beach area all the way to Walking Streets. Reached there too early, not that crowded yet, so decided to go back to hotel to rest. Went back to Walking Streets at 10 pm and entered some A-Go-Go bars.

11 May:

Woke up for breakfast, then went out to buy some local stuffs. In the afternoon, jet-ski for 30mins then rented a motorbike to ride around for 250 Baht a day. Went to see night market around Pattaya town (a few km away from the beach).

12 May:

Returned the bike then had lunch. Took a cab back to Bangkok airport cost 860 Baht including highway charges.

Bali Trip 10 – 13 April 2009

Day 1:

- Visited Kuta beach and town area (stopped by at a place near Den Pasar to try ‘Babi Guling’)

Day 2:
- Watched Barong show
- Visited Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave),
- Ubud town for Monkey Forest,
- Kintamani for lunch facing Gunung Agung
- Dinner at Jimbaran

Day 3:
- Visited Turtle Island near Benoa
- Scuba diving near Benoa
- Tanah Lot

Day 4:
- Flew back to Singapore

Bangkok 20 – 22 March 2009

Hong Kong 8 – 9 March 2009

Reached Hong Kong at nite…too tired…headed straight to Panda Hotel at Tsuen Wan.
Next morning checked out from hotel. Visited Victoria Peak (The Peak) by bus and by tram to come down then walked toward ITC, crossed to Kowloon island by boat. Reached Tsim Sha Tsui, walking through the Avenue of Stars. Took MTR to Mongkok. Ate some small dishes at Mongkok, walked around and also visited the newest mall there. At nite, checked in at Metro Park Hotel in Wan Chai. Next morning, took MTR to Lantau island and Ngong Ping cable car (5.7km in length) to get 360 degree of panoramic view of Lantau Island. Also visited bronze Buddha statue at Po Lin Monastery. From here, took bus straight to the airport back to Singapore.
